STEEL SCRAP or HEAVY MELTING SCRAP (HMS 1 and 2) is the nonexclusive term for most kinds of substantial steel scrap, typically slice to a size not surpassing 1.5m x 0.5m. It comprises of cut lengths of pipe, re-bar, edges, steel posts, H or I pillars, ships plate et cetera. HMS 1 is the term for heavier piece which has a thickness of no less than 0.7 tons for each cubic meter, while HMS 2 would be lighter steel scrap, for example, thin divider tubing (e.g. bike outlines), sheet scrap under 3.2mm thick et cetera. The two (Hms1& 2) are regularly sold together with a proportion of 80/20 overwhelming and light.
